In the time from September 2016 until June 2017, nine of my colleagues (and yet very good friends) and me developed an autonomous car. The project was an ETH “focus project” and we were working on it in the last year of our Bachelor’s degree. We were facing various challenges, from software design and integration over electronics to hardware development. In the end we were able to drive up the Klausenpass fully autonomously.
Certainly, this project made feel me super enthusiastic about robotics and intelligent systems, and is maybe still one of the key reasons why I am now more and more deepening into this field.
We were also featured in various media: for example in the Swiss television and in the news (“Bote“, “Infoticker“, “Südostschweiz”).
